Mystic Irish Parade Foundation Honored
The Mystic Irish Parade Foundation has been awarded a 2010 Golden Pineapple Award as Volunteers of the Year for the Mystic Country Region. The award presentation took place at the evening awards ceremony of the Connecticut Conference on Tourism at MGM Grand at Foxwoods in May.
The Volunteer of the Year Award goes to an individual, or group of individuals, who deserve special recognition for furthering the Connecticut tourism industry by their efforts, time and commitment.
Parade Foundation volunteers Neil Ryan of Wireless Zone, Leo Roche of the Harp & Hound Pub and Black Sheep, Laura Capshaw, Jeff Bresnahan and Matt Forde accepted the award on behalf of the Mystic Irish Parade Foundation.
